Question 4 - How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, Planning and evaluation stages?

How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, Planning and evaluation stages?
Technologies has a big role in my media coursework. I have relied on it through my work. In the coursework I have been using many different forms of technologies from the start. When researching for my work, I started using YouTube to look into existing A2 media trailers and looking at big film industry trailers. When looking at A2 media trailer and big film industries trailer, I found them very inspiring and they gave me ideas of how I should take my own horror trailer. It was very important for me to know what type of conventions go into and horror trailers and how they use them in films. I wanted to know what type of methods they use when creating trailers. I have used YouTube to get my trailers music and I have uploaded my trailer on YouTube so it can be watched by my audience, and another reason why I have uploaded it on YouTube is because I needed it to go on my blogger.

Blogger has played a major part in what types of technologies I have used for my coursework. When presenting my coursework on different online platforms, I showcased my work on Sildeshare, Scribd, Google Forms, Google Slides, Visme, Animoto, Prezi, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Pinterest and Padlet. These the website I had used for my coursework in A2 Media Studies. To showcase the work on Blogger I had to use the embed tool to publish most of my work of these software’s on to my blog. The reason I decided to do this because I wanted to use as many different forms of media technologies for my coursework, I want to show the examiner and the audience that they many unique ways of presenting your work. I used each of the software’s even amount of times and I didn’t stick one of them, I believe I used Prezi, Slideshare and Scribd the most I liked how they presented and shown my work in a certain way. When using these software’s they didn’t limit me in my work and I believe that they were the best ones to use from all the other ones I have used in my media coursework. I also used Animoto to present some of my work as it gave me a new way of presenting my work and I found it very useful and it gave me the freedom to be visionary. I believe using many new different ways of presenting my work, this shows the audience how I can use many new forms of media platform.

For my two ancillary products, I had used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign to create my Film Poster and Film Magazine Cover. I found Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign very easy to use as I have been using this platform for couple of years in Media so I knew what type of skills I needed to apply to my two ancillary products.  When creating my two ancillary products I had to start it with two blank A4 pages on Photoshop and InDesign as that is the size of the paper I wanted for my two products. When using Photoshop and InDesign I came across many new tools for my magazine cover and film poster. I knew my way around both of the platforms as I have been using them since year 10 when I started my GCSE Media Studies. Everything you see on my magazine and poster are all my original products, I believe  that using my own products in my two ancillary products, I relate these back to my audience as well as my main product which is film trailer. When it came to creating the two ancillary products, I found that InDesign was easier to use for my magazine as I can place things on the page perfectly, using calculations to place things onto the A4 page. I researched into these two platforms and I found out that many magazine companies use InDesign as they believe that Adobe InDesign is very easy to use as well as being very professional for the independent magazine companies. As this platform is very cheap to get.
